Stay Curious!

Curiosity is one of the most dynamic and transformative energies you can access.

Used appropriately, curiosity is the path to profound internal change.

Judgment on the other hand is a dead end. It has a finality to it and if judgment is your go to, you all gut guarantee stagnation.

If you want to cultivate kore curiosity in your life start practicing this.

  1. Every time you notice a judgmental thought in your head, or thag you voice, pause and write it down.

  2. Now look at that thought and come up with 3 questions you could ask to get curious and open up paths of exploration.

For example, say I have the thought, “I really should have gone to bed earlier last night night, I continually fuck up my morning routine by not getting enough sleep.”

Now I take an opportunity to get curious. I may ask:

  1. What do I get out of staying up later than I’d like to?

  2. What part of me thrives in the night time, what does this part enjoy?

  3. Is my morning routine important enough to wake up for? Maybe it’s rote and I need to refresh that, how might I do that?

Here’s the thing, they don’t even need to be good questions. And you don’t need to believe them. Yeah going on and answering them would be nice, but this is just the start. It’s about building a new muscle. A new relationship to self that catches judgment and then intervenes.

Give it a try for a week and then come back and let me know what you’ve learned.
